Who we are
Built for students who want more than “good enough”
Rojas Test Prep was founded on a simple belief: standardized test scores aren’t about talent - they’re about skills, structure, and execution.
With the right system and the right coach, meaningful score improvement is not only possible, it’s repeatable.
I work with a small number of students each cycle to deliver a highly personalized, data-driven SAT & ACT preparation experience designed for families aiming at competitive outcomes.
Credentials that matter
I have taken both standardized tests both as a student and again years later as a professional tutor, earning near perfect scores and being in the 99th percentile for both tests.
This matters because I don’t just teach the tests; I’ve reverse-engineered them.
Academically, I graduated from the University of Miami through the selective Dean’s Scholar’s 3+1 Program, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and a Master’s in the Science of Finance, a quantitative finance degree.
That background shapes my teaching philosophy: analytical, systematic, and with constant measurement.
Proven Results, Not Promises
Over the course of my tutoring career, I’ve worked with over 30 students, many of whom entered the process already performing well, looking to break into the next tier.
Typical outcomes include:
+50-60 SAT points on average
+2-3 ACT points on average
Best individual results: +150 SAT points and +4 ACT points
Students I have worked with have earned admissions to schools such as:
and many more…
What Makes Us Different
Most tutoring focused on generic lesson plans and intuition.
Rojas Test Prep is build around individualized improvement.
Every student receives:
A customized study plan based on diagnostics and session data
Ongoing performance tracking across question types and skills
Structured homework with full review and feedback
Real-time adjustments based on what’s actually working
Clear, data-driven parent updates via emailed dashboards
Parents always know where points are being gained, where they’re being lost, and what the plan is to fix it.
Professional Discipline, Academic Coaching
Outside of tutoring, I work as an Assistant Vice President and Product Manager in the merchant acquiring / card-acceptance piece division of a multinational bulge-bracket bank.
That environment demands:
Precision
Accountability
Clear outputs under pressure
I bring the same standards to test prep. Sessions are focused, measurable, and results-oriented, because outcomes matter.
My Philosophy
Test prep is a skills problem, not an intelligence problem.
Nearly any motivated student can improve meaningfully with:
The right teacher
The right structure
The right feedback loop
My goal is simple: maximize score improvement.
Higher scores build confidence, and confidence changes how students show up academically.
I work best with students who are coachable, curious, and willing to engage seriously with the process. I do not work well with students who believe effort or structure does not apply to them.
A Deliberately Small Practice
To maintain quality, I limit my roster to approximately 6-8 students at a time.
Most families stay for multiple testing cycles, allowing for deeper improvement and continuity.
This is not mass-market tutoring.
It’s a structured, personalized test prep system built for families who value precision, transparency, and results.
